SAMBO CREEK

The last 6 months our friend ANER has been working hard in Honduras. He has been several years spending long periods in the Honduran country and knows very well the area and their people. Sambo Creek is one of the small towns that he most enjoys visiting. On the shores of the Caribbean, on the north sea coast of the country, there is this traditional Garifuna village. Of African origin, the culture of this people has persisted for generations and nowadays Sambo Creek is a town visited by tourists who want to know their culture, music and food. Always contemplative with the surrounding environment, Aner has taken the opportunity to leave the village of Sambo colorful paints that blend with the old walls of the town. His drawings are intended to reproduce what is visible, while making visible what is not always so. With an expanding and positive vision, the studio work of the artist doesn't follow a fixed line but he works through different techniques in an illustrative work creating funny characters and expressing his will to make known the intensity of the moment.
